Tuqiao town is located at the southeast end of Jintang County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, adjacent to Liang'an town of Lezhi county in the East, Wuhe Township and Jinma town of Jianyang City in the south, Yunhe town in the west, Youxin Township and Jinshun town of Lezhi county in the north.

Location structure

Tuqiao Town, 397-589 m above sea level. The people's government is located in tuqiaochang Town, 65 kilometers away from the county. After the opening of Chengnan expressway, Tuqiao town was integrated into the "one hour economic circle" of Chengdu.

Tuqiao town is located in a deep hill, high in the East and low in the West. The soil is mainly purple soil with mild climate and four distinct seasons. The average annual temperature is 16.8 ℃. It is the largest river in the town, followed by Youxin Yongle tributary.

There are 1 middle school directly under the county, 3 central primary schools, 1 village primary school, 3 kindergartens (including 2 private kindergartens) and 1 adult education school in the town. History and culture

At the end of the Ming Dynasty, zaoziping in the town was built into mangtou Town, which was destroyed by the soldiers. During the reign of Shunzhi and Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, the immigrants built Tuqiao ditch by using the terrain of Youde, which is known as "five horses returning to the channel", and became a big business distribution town. Merchants used to be the hub and merchants gathered. The immigrants invested in the construction of Yuwang palace, Zhenwu palace, Nanhua palace, Guizhou Museum, Jiangxi Museum, Huangzhou Museum, Huo temple, Yaowang temple, Niuwang temple, Shanyin temple, Dafo temple, Longxing Temple, nanmu temple, eight storehouses and five Buddhist and Taoist temples, forming a spectacular ancient temple complex. Among them, the Yuwang temple was built by Hunan people in Daoguang 29, which is called "Jinluan Hall of Yuwang Palace". The whole building is carved with beams and painted buildings, and is resplendent. During the construction, it took three years for a famous craftsman to carve a 1.5-meter-diameter Jiulong stone, which was placed in the middle of the steps into the main hall. After protection and maintenance, the existing historical sites in the town before the end of the Republic of China cover a total area of 3700 square meters. The Yuwang palace and Nanhua palace in the town are listed as municipal cultural relics protection units.

On June 6, 2006, the municipal government officially named Tuqiao town as a famous historical and cultural town in Chengdu.
