Lidong town
Lidong Town, belonging to Mulan County, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the middle of Mulan County, adjacent to Jianguo Township in the East, Jixing Township in the south, Liuhe Town in the West and Dagui town in the north. In 2018, the area was 125 square kilometers, and the registered residence was 15490.
Lidong Town, formerly known as guanglidong, was changed into Lidong village after setting up lidongbao during the puppet Manchu period. In February 1956, it belonged to two townships of Lidong and Liqin. In April 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.
By the end of 2019, Lidong town governs seven administrative villages.

Historical evolution
Originally known as guanglidong, it was changed to Lidong village after setting up lidongbao during the puppet Manchu period.

In February 1956, it belongs to two townships of Lidong and Liqin.
In September 1958, the two townships were merged into Lidong commune.
In January 1972, it was divided into Lidong and Dongfeng communes.
In April 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.
In March 1984, the township was transformed into a town.
