Xinnongxiang
Xinnong township is a township under the jurisdiction of Yanting County, Sichuan Province. It is located in the west of the county, 4 kilometers away from the county, covering an area of 24 square kilometers, with a population of 7000.
In February 2017, the Department of civil affairs of Sichuan Province announced that Mayang Township, Liangchahe Township and Xinnong Township were abolished in Yanting County with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government. The administrative area of Xinnong township was put under the jurisdiction of Yunxi Town, and the people's Government of Yunxi Town was stationed at No. 8, Fengchi street.
General situation
Yanting County governs the township. After the completion of land reform in 1951, the new rural township was built, named after the meaning of "new China's farmers turn over". The commune was changed in 1958 and the township was restored in 1984, belonging to Fengling district. In 1992, the district was removed and the town was merged into Yunxi Town. In 1995, it was designated as Xinnong township. In 2017, the township system was abolished and incorporated into Yunxi Town. Located in the west of the county, 4 km away from the county.
