Baishan township is located in Longjiang County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province. Baishan township is located in the southeast of Longjiang County, 47 ° 40 ′ N and 123 ° 30 ′ E. It is adjacent to heigang Township in the East, Huamin Township and Guanghou Township in the southeast and south, Jingxing town (formerly Yongfa township) and Shanquan town (formerly duibao township) across the river in the west, and Longjiang Town in the north. It is 21.3 kilometers long from north to South and 18.3 kilometers wide from east to west, covering an area of 257 square kilometers. It is one of the building materials production bases in Longjiang County. Historical evolution
Baishan township is named after a "white earth mountain" in its territory. Baitushan area was under the jurisdiction of vice capital of Qiqihar in Qing Dynasty. During the period of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of the third district and the Second District of Longjiang County. After the fall of Northeast China, it was under the jurisdiction of zhujiakanbao at the beginning and changed to zhujiakancun in April 1938. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was subordinate to zhujiakan District in June 1946 and changed to the third district in 1948. In March 1956, the village was divided into townships and Baishan township was set up. In June 1958, Taishan Township was merged into Baishan township. In September of the same year, it was merged with Houdao township to form Baishan people's commune. In 1960, a part of the production brigade in the eastern region was set up as heigang commune. In May 1984, Baishan commune was changed into Baishan township.
