Changxing town
Changxing Town, subordinate to Meixian County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the north central part of Meixian County. It is adjacent to jiangzhang Town, Fufeng County in the East, caijiapo Town, Qishan County in the west, Weihe River in the south, Shoushan town and Jinqu Town, and Wujing Town, Fufeng County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 15.8 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 8.4 kilometers, with a total area of 60.80 square kilometers.
Changxing town is the hometown of Bai Qi, the king of Wu'an in the pre Qin period, and Wang Tao, a medical expert in the Tang Dynasty. The bronze wares unearthed in the cellar of the Western Zhou Dynasty in 2003 are one of the most important bronzes of the Western Zhou Dynasty.

Historical evolution

There was Changxing town in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty.
In May 1949, it belonged to the sixth (Weibei) District of Fuxian county.
In February 1956, Changxing and sishang townships were established, with jurisdiction over 14 villages.
In September 1958, it was a satellite commune. In December, it was put under the jurisdiction of Fengxiang County, with 14 production teams in Changxing and sishang administrative areas.
In September 1961, the satellite commune returned to Meixian County and was set up as Changxing commune with 14 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In April 1984, it was changed into Changxing Town, which has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages.

Changxing town is located in the middle of Weihe plain, the terrain is high in the north and low in the south, and flat in the middle. The main mountains are Qinling Mountains. The highest peak of Beiyuan is located in Beiyuan village, with an altitude of 713 meters; the lowest point of the North Bank of Weihe River is located in Xiayuan village, with an altitude of 398 meters.
