History of construction

Before September 1949, it belonged to Huichuan county.

In September 1958, Huichuan county was abolished and assigned to Weiyuan County.

In December 1958, Weiyuan County was abolished and was assigned to Lintao county.

In December 1962, Weiyuan County was restored and tianjiahe commune was established.

In July 1983, it was changed to tianjiahe township.
