Ganquan Town, belonging to Maiji District, Tianshui, Gansu, is located in the central and southern parts of Maiji District, east of Maiji Town, the southern Qinzhou District, the goddess of the dam town, the West and the Qinzhou District, the town of Zao Jiao, North and Ma Po Quan town adjacent to the area of 211 square kilometers, in 2018, the registered residence population of 45793 people.

Historical evolution
In 1937, the town of ganquansi was set up, with jurisdiction over the southwest of Maiji township.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), Xinjun township (today's Maiji) was established and renamed Ganquan Town.
In 1944, the western part of Xinjun Township merged with Ganquan Town.
In October 1949, the office of Ganquan district was set up in Ganquan temple, which governs jinjiezi Township, Maiji Township, Lixiang Township in Maiji District, Gaoqiao County in Hui County, and Ganquan Town.
In January 1950, Ganquan Town was divided into Xizhi Township and Guifeng township.
In 1951, Ganquan Town was transformed into a township.
In 1952, Ganjiang Township and Yunyang Township were added to the original town.
