Hongqi Township

Hongqi Township, belonging to Sunwu County, Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the south of Sunwu County. It is connected with Chenqing town in the East, Zhanhe forest farm in the southeast, Xing'an township of Wudalianchi city in the West and zhengyangshan Township in the north. The township government is stationed in Hongqi village. The area is 148.17 square kilometers.

In 2018, the population of Hongqi Township registered residence was 2527. As of October 2019, Hongqi rural area has jurisdiction over six administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 4 industrial enterprises in Hongqi Township, without comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

Hongqi Township got its name because the township government was stationed in Hongqi village.

In September 1976, Xing'an reclamation area was set up with three production teams, namely, Hongqi, Guangming (merged with Jianshe Village) and Huashan.

In 1977, he built three teams: Qianfeng, Xingshan (merged with Zhongshan Village) and Zhongshan.

In 1978, it was renamed Hongqi reclamation area. Four teams of Chenqing commune, Qingshan, Fuqiang (merged with Qingshan Village), Jianshe and Wuliqiao (merged with Jianshe Village), were included.

In October 1979, it was changed into Hongqi commune.

In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.

At the end of 2011, Hongqi rural area had six administrative villages, including Hongqi, Jianshe, Huashan, Zhongshan, Qingshan and Qianfeng, with a total of four natural villages.
