Historical evolution
During the Anti Japanese War, Zhongyang township was divided into four districts. The district office was located in xiashentou village. Li Baoyuan, the head of the District, was the surname of xiashentou. After Comrade Li Baoyuan's heroic sacrifice, Jin Tingxiu took over the post of district head (from Sunjiazhuang Village). Later, it was changed into six districts. The district office was set up in Nanpo village, and Zhang Chengxin, the head of the District, was a scholar of Baishi. In 1954, the township government was located in the dynamite factory in the north of Xinzhang village, named Jinhua township. In 1958, the people's commune was founded. The residence of the commune was relocated to Dayang village, which was named Jinhua people's commune. In 1959, Jinhua people's commune was renamed Dayang people's commune. At that time, the secretary was Cheng Jude (from nanwangjiu Village), and the director was Zhang Yi (from Sulu Village). During the Anti Japanese War, there were not only the base area where the Eighth Route Army carried out guerrilla warfare (now xiashentou village used to be the seat of the four district offices of our Eighth Route Army base), but also the fort strongholds of Zhongzhuang and Xinzhang occupied by the Japanese puppet army.
