Bayantalasumu, belonging to Zhalute banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Zhalute banner, bordering Xiangshan town in the East, wulijimurensumu in the south, aruhorqin banner in Chifeng City in the West and gerichaorusumu in the north. The area is 613.86 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 18900 people had registered residence in Tara, Bayan.
In October 1949, it was divided into the third district. In June 1956, Bayantala township was established. In September 1956, it was changed into a commune. In October 1984, it was changed to Sumu. As of June 2020, bayantalasumu has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages.
By the end of 2018, there was one industrial enterprise in Bayantala Sumu, including one industrial enterprise above Designated Size and 105 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
