Historical evolution
Heyu district was established in 1955, changed to commune in 1958, restored to commune in 1961, restored to commune in 1963, changed to township in 1984, and established a town in 1995. The average annual grain yield is 385-420 tons, 200-225 kg per mu. The annual output of peanuts is more than 30 tons, ranking first in the town. In 2000, the total output value of agriculture was 600000 yuan. There is one primary school and two health centers.
Kangzhuang Village
Kangzhuang village is located in the southwest of the town, with 6 villager groups, 298 households, 1056 people and 594 mu of cultivated land. Crops are wheat, corn, peanuts, beans and so on. Local specialties are fungus, mushroom, chestnut and so on. In 1998, an investment of 30000 yuan was made, 5200 projects were completed, and 2.5 kilometers of village roads were widened and reconstructed. In February 2000, the rural power grid transformation was completed.
