Shuanglong town

Shuanglong town belongs to Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the west of Huangling County, connecting Diantou town and Yaoping community service center in the East, Xunyi County of Xianyang City in the south, Zhengning County of Gansu Province in the West and Sixian town of Fuxian County in the north. The total area is 1046.65 square kilometers.

There are two Neolithic sites, two Shang, Zhou, Qin and Han sites and three Buddhist grottoes in Shuanglong Town, among which Wan'an temple and Qin Zhidao site are the most famous. 1 beiyaogou forest park.

Historical evolution

According to Shaanxi Tongzhi written by Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, Shuangliu town was named in the Ming Dynasty. In the early Qing Dynasty, the town was removed and the village was changed into Shuanglong, and the homonym was Shuanglong.

In 1940, the government of Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia border region established Shuanglong district.

In 1948, it was still called Shuanglong District, belonging to five districts.

In October 1958, it was changed into Shuanglong township.

In October 1961, Shuanglong commune was established.

Yan'an section of Qin Zhidao site

Qinzhi road in Huangling County has a total length of 60 kilometers and a base width of 10-60 meters. It passes through laolubao, wulidun, juyuanguan and other villages in aihaodian. In the area of laolubao and aihaodian, there are many remains of beacon towers as high as 6 meters. On both sides of the Zhidao ruins, there are six Yakou, three military stations and one post station.

On May 3, 2013, the Yan'an section (Huangling section) of qinzhidao site was listed as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.

Wan'an Temple Grottoes

Wan'an Temple grottoes, also known as thousand Buddha cave grottoes, is located in Shuanglong Zhenyu village, 48 kilometers away from Huangling County. It is the grottoes of Shikong, a Buddhist temple in the Song Dynasty. The grottoes are built on the gray and green sandstone at the height of the hillside. It's in the shape of "convex" and sits West to East. The entrance of the cave is square, 2.4 meters wide and 2.6 meters deep. There are more than 60 large Buddha statues, more than 500 Arhats and more than 600 attendants in the cave. There are two niches on the left and right, which are separated from the entrance of the cave by two circles, forming an eaves corridor with two layers of brackets.
