Dongquan Town, belonging to Liucheng County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Liucheng county. It borders Pingshan Town of Luzhai county and Luorong town of Yufeng District in the East, Luobu town of Yufeng District and Changtang town of Liubei District in the south, Shatang Town, Shibeiping town and Shapu town of Liucheng District in the west, and Taiping town of Liucheng County in the north. The administrative area of Dongquan town is 271.4 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of Dong Quan town registered residence was 62831.
In 1933, there was Dongquan district and its Xi'an townships, belonging to Liucheng county. In 1958, hero and pioneer communes were established. In 1969, Dongquan commune was established. In 1984, Dongquan commune was abolished and divided into Dongquan town and Xi'an township. In July 2005, Dongquan town merged with Xi'an people. As of June 2020, Dongquan town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 19 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Dongquan street.
