Yongning Town belongs to Yangchun City, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the northwest edge of Yangjiang City in the west of Guangdong Province, and in the western mountainous area of Yangchun City. It is adjacent to Xinyi City, with a total area of 362 square kilometers. The majority of Han people live in Yahua, and there are four Yao villages.

History of construction
In the second year of Daye (606), Xicheng county and Liunan county were abolished and merged into Tongling County, which belongs to Xin'an County and Yongning County. in the fourth year of Wude (621) of the Tang Dynasty, chunzhou was set up and Liunan county was set up. Yongning was its territory. in the fifth year of Wude of Tang Dynasty (622), he returned to Yangchun county and Yongning was his territory. In the Southern Han Dynasty, Liunan County belonged to chunzhou. In 972 ad, Luoshui county and Liunan county were merged into Yangchun county. In 1016, chunzhou was merged into Xinzhou, Yangchun was changed into Xinchun County, and Xishan was returned to Xinchun county. in the fourth year of Tianxi (1020), chunzhou was restored and Xinchun county was renamed Yangchun county. In the sixth year of Xining (1073), chunzhou was withdrawn. Yangchun County belonged to nan'en Prefecture and Xishan to Yangchun county. From the Yuan Dynasty to the fourth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1576), Xishan still belonged to Yangchun county. In the fifth year of the Republic of China (1577), Ling Yunyi, the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, established Dongan County in Luoding Prefecture. In 1915, Dong'an County was renamed Yunfu County, so Xishan, also known as Yunfu enclave, was listed as the Sixth District of Yunfu county. At the end of December 1949, Xishan was liberated, and a special Xishan District was set up in Yangchun County, which was under the jurisdiction of Yunfu county. On October 22, 1949, Yangchun county was liberated, and the people's Government of Yangchun county took over the Xishan area on behalf of Yunfu county and established the Xishan Special District People's government. In August 1950, Yongning was under the jurisdiction of the seventh district of Yangchun county. On August 7, 1950, with the approval of the people's Government of Guangdong Province, Xishan was assigned to Yangchun County as the seventh district.

In April 1961, Yongning commune was set up by Guigang commune, and Dandang brigade was under the jurisdiction of Guigang commune.
