Xihe town

Xihe town belongs to Pingli County, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the north of Pingli County, it borders Xinglong Town in the East, Chengguan town in the south, Laoxian town in the West and Bahe town in Hanbin District in the north. The total area is 88.68 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

In the 19th year of Qianlong of Qing Dynasty (1754), it was Weiba township.

In 1758, it was changed to Wei Babao.

In 1941, it was changed to Weiba township.

In 1947, it was renamed Wei Ruxiang.

After 1949, Weiru district was established, with Xihe Township under it.

In 1958, it was changed into Xihe management area.

In 1981, it was changed to Xihe River Management Committee.

Xihe River (Weiba basin) has been a shipping transfer station (wharf and passenger and cargo distribution center) of Bahe River since ancient times. Merchants gathered here.
