Henghe town is located in the southwest border of Yangcheng County, Shanxi Province, at the junction of Shanxi and Henan provinces. It borders Jiyuan City, Henan Province in the South and Yuanqu County, Yuncheng City in the West. It covers a total area of 187.3 square kilometers, with the highest altitude of 1951.4 meters and the lowest altitude of 927 meters. History of construction

Henghe town has been lived since the time of the three yellow and five emperors. Today, there are still moving legends and inscriptions on the mountain. During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, Yunmeng Mountain, where Sun Bin was a military strategist, was also inhabited. According to the existing stone inscriptions, Qianfeng temple was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and shengwangping Tangdi Temple existed in the Northern Song Dynasty. According to the analysis of historical records, Henghe town was a dependency of Jin, Han and Wei in the spring and Autumn period and Warring States period. To the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the county set up Du, Li, Hu. Yokogawa town was the capital of Shangyi at that time. In 1918, the sixth year of the Ming Dynasty, Shanxi implemented the district village system, which belonged to xiasiping village, the Fourth District Office of Yangcheng. In 1942, the Anti Japanese government of Yangcheng was established, which has jurisdiction over six districts. Yokogawa is under the jurisdiction of the Sixth District, which is divided into seven villages: suoquanling, Yokogawa, xiasiping, Shuitou, Madi, Quantou and Nanmen. After that, it was changed to the Fifth District. In 1945, Yokogawa belonged to the Sixth District of Yangcheng after restoration, and the village planning remained unchanged. After its establishment in June 1956, it was divided into lvquanling and sangquanhe townships. In 1954, it was merged into four townships: Henghe, Nanmen, sangyuan and suoquanling. In March 1958, the township was merged again and Yokogawa (Yunmeng) people's commune was established. In April 1984, the system of township (town) and village was implemented, and Henghe people's commune was changed into Henghe township. In 2000, villages were withdrawn and towns merged. Henghe township has been changed into Henghe town.

The main surface water sources are panting river at the foot of Xiaojian mountain and Nanmen river at the foot of Jiecheng mountain. Therefore, the natural environment is very beautiful. Xiaogoubei, a newly developed tourist attraction in recent years, is located at the junction of Henghe town and Shaoyuan town in Henan Province, and at the intersection of the southern end of Taihang Mountain and the eastern end of Zhongtiao Mountain.
