Jiuting town is located in the northeast of Songjiang District of Shanghai. It faces Qibao town and Xinzhuang Town of Minhang District across Jiuqu River, Xiaolai River and Zhujiang River in the East, jiuliting street in the north, yanghebang, ZHANJING and Chujing rivers in Xujing town of Qingpu District, Miaojing, Xinjing and zhangjingbang rivers in the South and Sijing town across Dianpu River and panlongtang River in the West Next door. Evolution of organizational system
The Jiuting area belonged to Wu in the spring and Autumn period. In the early Warring States period, Wu died and returned to Yue. In the middle period, it belonged to Chu. Qin Dynasty belonged to Lou County, Kuaiji Prefecture. In the sixth year of emperor Gaozu of the Western Han Dynasty (201 BC), Liu Bang granted the land of Wu and Yue to his cousin Liu Jia and granted him the title of King Jing. In the third year of emperor Jingdi (154 BC), Jiuting Prefecture belonged to Lou county. In the first year of Wu Yuebao's reign (924), Kaiyuan Prefecture was established in Jiaxing, and Huating county was under the jurisdiction of Kaiyuan Prefecture. In the fifth year of Tianfu (940), Yi Kaiyuan was named Xiuzhou. In 978, Huating was located in Xiuzhou, Zhejiang Province. In 1074, Zhejiang Road was divided into two parts: Zhedong road and Zhexi road. Xiuzhou is Jiaxing Prefecture, Huating county is Jiaxing Prefecture. In 1277, Huating county was promoted to Huating Prefecture and led to Huating county. Jiuting area is 35 Bao Village, Huating County, Songjiang Prefecture. In the first year of Qingyuan in Southern Song Dynasty (1195), Huating house was renamed Songjiang house in the following year. In 1553, Qingpu County was abolished and Huating county was restored. In the first year of Wanli (1573), Qingpu County was rebuilt, and the northern area of Jiuting was under the jurisdiction of Qingpu County. In 1656, Huating county was founded as Lou county. At that time, Jiuting district was divided into Huating, Lou and Qingpu counties. In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Songjiang Prefecture was withdrawn, and Huating county and Lou county were merged into Huating County, which was subordinate to Jiangsu Province. In 1914, Huating county was renamed Songjiang County. At that time, the area south of zhangjiajiao and Puhuitang in jiuliting was under the jurisdiction of Qibao Township in Songjiang County; cangshiqiao, yaojiage and Tiancun were under the jurisdiction of chenjiaxing Township in Songjiang County; the southeast of Beichang was under the jurisdiction of Xinzhuang Township in Songjiang County; the north of Jiuting was under the jurisdiction of Longfeng Township in Qingpu County. During the Anti Japanese War, the puppets changed Songjiang County into Songjiang special area during the "Qingxiang" period. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, Jiuting was divided into three townships: Punan Township, Pubei Township, Zhaozhuang Township, Cangshi Township, Chenxing Township under the jurisdiction of Sijing District, Songjiang County, and Longfeng Township under the jurisdiction of Qingpu County. in 1947, Jiuting belonged to Cunren township. In May 1949, Songjiang was liberated, and Jiuting district was under the jurisdiction of Songjiang District, Songjiang County, Sijing District, and Longgu District, Qingpu County. In March 1954, Duyin Township, Longgu District, Qingpu County, was assigned to Songjiang County and settled in Sijing district. At that time, Jiuting area belonged to Duyin Township, Xinmin Township, liannong Township and Minle township (part) of Sijing district. In 1957, Jiuting district was divided into Silian Township and Xinqiao township of Songjiang County. In October 1958, the township was withdrawn, and the Oriental people's commune was built in Silian Township, and the satellite people's commune was built in Xinqiao township. In April 1959, Dongfang people's Commune and Weixing people's commune were renamed Silian people's Commune and Xinqiao people's commune respectively. In November 1958, Songjiang County was transferred from Jiangsu Province to Shanghai. In March 1978, the people's commune of Jiuting was set up by Silian and Xinqiao communes. In March 1978, Jiuting town had 14 production brigades, including Jiuxing, Xiangyang, Songhu, Duxiang, Zhufang, Zhulong, Fanrong, Sanxing, Jinwu, Xinglian, Beichang, Songlian, Lixing and Shuguang, as well as improved variety farm (former friendship brigade) and aquatic product brigade.
