Qingyuan town
Qingyuan Town, belonging to Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the east of Liangzhou District. It is adjacent to Changcheng Township in the East, Donghe Township in the south, Wunan town and Qingshui Township in the west, Fufa town in the north, and 18 kilometers from Liangzhou city in the West. The area is 106.80 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Qingyuan town was 25244.
Qingyuan town is named for its dense springs and Qingyuan ditch flowing through it. In September 1949, Qingyuan town was located in Baita and Dahe districts. In July 1952, it belongs to the fourteenth district (Qingyuan). In January 1956, it was Qingyuan township. In October 1958, Qingyuan commune was established by the merger of Qingyuan, Qingshui and Changcheng township. In 1962, it was divided into Qingyuan, Qingshui and Changcheng communes. In July 1983, Xindi township was set up for Qingyuan township. In January 1986, Qingyuan and Xindi Township merged to establish Qingyuan town. As of June 2020, Qingyuan town has jurisdiction over 4 communities and 16 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in wangjiaxinzhuang village.

History of construction
From the Western Han Dynasty to the "five cool" period of the Sixteen States, Qingyuan town belonged to guzang County, Wuwei County.
From the Northern Wei Dynasty to the early Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Linzhong County of Wuwei County.
During the Tang and Song Dynasties, it returned to guzang county.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was successively returned to liangzhouwei county and Wuwei County.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Baita and Dahe township of Wuwei County.
In September 1949, it belonged to Baita and Dahe districts.
In July 1952, it belongs to the fourteenth district (Qingyuan).
In January 1956, it was Qingyuan township.
In October 1958, Qingyuan commune was established by the merger of Qingyuan, Qingshui and Changcheng township.
In 1962, it was divided into Qingyuan, Qingshui and Changcheng communes.
In July 1983, Xindi township was set up for Qingyuan township.
In January 1986, Qingyuan and Xindi Township merged to establish Qingyuan town.
