Tongqiu street, located in Fugou County, Zhoukou City, is the seat of the people's Government of Fugou county. It is the political, economic and cultural center of the whole county. Jialu river passes through the territory from north to south. National Highway 311, zhouzheng and zhoukai meet in the territory. It is 10km away from Anluo Expressway in the west, 50km away from Beijing Zhuhai Expressway in the East, and 10km away from ashen Expressway in the East. It covers an area of 16.7 square kilometers and 9210 mu of cultivated land.

It belongs to Chengguan District in 1949. The people's Government of Chengguan town was established in 1951. It was renamed the town office in 1955 and the people's commune of Chengguan town in August 1958. In 1959, it was abolished. In 1961, it was restored. In December 2017, it was abolished and Tongqiu Street was established.
