In August 1945, it belonged to yaozhan District of Weichang County. In March 1950, it belongs to the first district. In 1983, the commune was abolished and huangtukan township was rebuilt. In May 1986, it was changed to huangtukan Manchu Township. In June 1989, it was restored to huangtukan township. As of June 2020, huangtukan township has 8 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.

Historical evolution

In August 1945, it belonged to yaozhan District of Weichang County.

In October 1946, huangtukan township was built.

In January 1947, Weibei county was designated as yaozhan district; in July of the same year, Weichang County was designated as siheyong district.

In September 1958, it belonged to Dongfeng commune.

In August 1961, huangtukan commune was established.

In 1983, the commune was abolished and huangtukan township was rebuilt.
