Daxing Town

Daxing Town, subordinate to Fengcheng City, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northern mountainous area of Fengcheng City. It is adjacent to Shicheng Town in the East, Dabao Mongolian Township in the south, liujiahe town and jieshushan town in the west, Saima town and aiyang town in the north, with an administrative area of 202.13 square kilometers.

In July 1919, Dawa village was set up, belonging to the Second District of Donglu. On June 26, 1996, Dawa township was abolished and Daxing town was established. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Daxing town was 10376. As of June 2020, Daxing town has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, and the town people's government is located at 198 Daxing street.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of Daxing town was 22.66 million yuan. The per capita financial income is 2061 yuan. In 2018, there were three industrial enterprises in Daxing Town, including one above scale and 18 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In July 1919, Dawa village was set up, belonging to the Second District of East Road.

In 1938, the puppet Manchuria state established dawatun (village level system) in Wanquan village.

In October 1945, the working committee of Anton province of the Communist Party of China established Saima county. Wanquan village was renamed Wanquan District, and Longshan district was set up.

In May 1946, Longshan district and Wanquan district were abolished and Shuanghe district was established.

From October 1946 to June 1947, the Kuomintang troops moved in and renamed Wanquan township.

In June 1947, the CPC restored the system of Saima county and Shuanghe district.

In April 1948, Shuanghe district was abolished and Dawa district was established.

In March 1949, Saima county was abolished and Dawa district was transferred to Fengcheng county.

In March, 1950, Dawa district was abolished and established.

In 1951, District 21 was abolished and classified as district 10.

In 1956, it was assigned to Dabu District, with two townships, Lianhe and Daxing.

In March 1958, two townships of Lianhe and Daxing were abolished and Dawa township was established; in September of the same year, three townships of Shicheng, miaoyang and Dawa were abolished and Shicheng commune was established.

In July 1961, the scale of the commune was adjusted and Dawa commune was established by separating the villages of Dawa Township from Shicheng commune.

In 1982, the Anle brigade was divided into Loushan and Huangling brigades.

In September 1983, Dawa commune was abolished and Dawa township was established. The production brigade was changed into a village and the production brigade into a villager group.

On June 26, 1996, Dawa township was abolished and Daxing town was established.
