Dongmao Town, belonging to Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeast of Chicheng County, bordering Huairou District of Beijing in the East, Yanqing County in the south, Houcheng town in the west, ciyingzi Township in the north and Fengning County in the northeast. It is 65km away from the people's government of Chicheng County, with a total area of 442.54km2.
In 1918, it belonged to four districts of Guyuan County; in 1995, it was changed from Dongmao township to Dongmao town. By the end of 2018, the population of Dong Mao town registered residence was 23148. As of June 2020, Dongmao town has 25 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is located in Dongmao village.
In 2018, Dongmao town has 6 industrial enterprises and 6 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1918, it belonged to four districts of Guyuan County. In 1933, it was assigned to Dage county (Fengning County), Rehe province. In November 1948, it was put under the jurisdiction of Sihai county.
In September 1951, it was transferred back to Chicheng County.
In 1953, Dongmao township was established.
In 1958, Yuejin commune was established.
In September 1958, it was merged into Longguan county and became Dongmao commune.
In May 1960, it belongs to Chicheng County.
In 1984, Dongmao commune was changed to Dongmao township.
In 1995, it was changed from Dongmao township to Dongmao town.
In 1996, Wanquansi township was merged into Dongmao town.
