Damiao Town, subordinate to Tongliang District of Chongqing, is located in the south of Tongliang District, adjacent to riverside town of Bishan District in the East, Huaxing town in the south, Weilong town in the West and Hufeng town in the north. It is 33 kilometers away from the residence of Tongliang District People's government, with a total area of 42.08 square kilometers.
In 704, when Tongliang County was established, Damiao town belonged to it. In December 1993, Damiao district was removed and Damiao Township and Sima Township were merged to build Damiao town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the town was 25460. As of June 2020, Damiao town has 1 community and 11 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Damiao town is located at No. 1, Chang'an Street, Wenxing community.

History of construction
In the fourth year of Chang'an of Tang Dynasty (704), when Tongliang County was established, Damiao town belonged to it.
In 1935, it belonged to the Second District of Tongliang.
After December 1949, it belongs to the Fifth District of Tongliang County (Hufeng District).
In April 1950, the seventh district of Tongliang County was built.
In December 1955, the seventh district was renamed Damiao District, belonging to Damiao district.
In December 1993, Damiao district was removed and Damiao Township and Sima Township were merged to build Damiao town.
