Liaozi Township, belonging to Chengkou County of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Chengkou County, adjacent to Mingzhong Township in the East, Jiming Township in the south, Mingtong town and Zhouxi Township in the west, miaoba Town, Gaoyan town and Zhiping Township in the north, with a total area of 151.06 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, the territory of Liaozi Township belonged to Babao Erjia; in 1984, it was changed from Liaozi commune to Liaozi township. History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Babao Erjia.
In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), it belonged to Zikou Lianbao of the first district; in the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to mengxiang of the third district; in the 30th year of the Republic of China (1941), it belonged to Mingxiang of the third district; in the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), it belonged to Mingde township of the third district.
In 1952, it belonged to the four districts of Liaozi township;
In 1953, Liaozi township was divided into four small townships: tea garden, xuetuo, Mingde and Luoyang.
In 1954, the four townships were divided into seven townships: Chayuan, Taoyuan, Xinkai, xuetuo, Liaozi, Qilong and Luoyang.
In 1956, seven small townships were merged into Taoyuan Township and Liaozi township.
In 1958, Taoyuan Township and Liaozi Township were changed into Taoyuan commune and Liaozi commune respectively.
In 1984, Taoyuan commune and Liaozi commune were changed into Taoyuan Township and Liaozi Township respectively.
In 2004, Taoyuan Township was merged with Liaozi township.
