Dongcheng Town, belonging to Yangyuan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the middle of Yangyuan County, adjacent to Sanmafang Township in the East, Sanggan River in the south, jingergou Township in the west, and NanGaoYa Township in Tianzhen County, Shanxi Province in the north. In September 1956, Dongcheng Town was established; in August 1958, Dongcheng Town was changed into Dongcheng commune; in May 1986, Dongcheng township was changed into Dongcheng Town.
