Jiulian Town, belonging to Guyuan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of Guyuan County, adjacent to huangganao town in the East, Chabei Administrative Region in the south, Kangbao County in the west, Taipusi Banner of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the north, 60 kilometers away from the people's Government of Jieyuan County, with a total area of 322 square kilometers.
In 1948, Jiulian town belonged to the Second District of Baoyuan County; in October 2007, it was changed from jiuliancheng township to Jiulian town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in 21610 towns was 9. As of June 2020, Jiulian town has 30 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Banlashan village.

History of construction
In 1948, Jiulian town belonged to the Second District of Baoyuan county.
In 1950, it belonged to the Sixth District of Guyuan County.
In 1958, jiuliancheng commune was established.
In 1984, jiuliancheng commune was changed into jiuliancheng township.
In 1996, honggebi township was merged into jiuliancheng township.
In October 2007, it was changed from jiuliancheng township to jiuliancheng town.
