Qidu Town, subordinate to Linzi District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, is located in the north central part of Linzi District. It faces Huangcheng town across Zihe River in the East, Linzi city in the south, Fenghuang town in the West and Jingzhong town in the north, with an administrative area of 52.77 square kilometers.
In February 1958, Linzi county was withdrawn from its district to establish a town, and Gucheng district was abolished to establish Chengguan town. In October of the same year, Linzi was merged into Yidu county to establish Gucheng commune. In January 1962, Linzi separated from Yidu county and changed its name to Chengguan commune. In 1970, it was Chengguan commune of Linzi District of Zibo City. By October 1974, it was the seat of Linzi county and district government. In April 1984, it was abandoned to establish Qidu Town; By the end of 2018, Qi Du Town had 43587 registered residence population. As of June 2020, 2 communities and 47 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of Qi Du Town.

History of construction
In the 19th year of King li of Zhou Dynasty (859 BC), Duke Xian of Qi moved the capital back to Yingqiu (Linzi), which lasted for 638 years.
In the 26th year of Emperor Qin Shihuang (221 BC), Qin set up Linzi County, where it was the place of governance.
In the Han Dynasty, it was the residence of king Qi.

At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Li Zhongming of daluhuachi built Linzi County in the south of the ruins of the ancient city of Qi, which has been a county for 400 years since then.
