Shimen Township
Shimen Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Tang County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the northwest of Tang County, adjacent to Yangjiao Township and Juncheng town in the East, Quyang County in the south, Fuping County in the West and Laiyuan County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 12.5 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 21.1 km, with a total area of 92.15 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the total population of Shimen's registered residence was 9157.
In 1953, Shimen township was built. In 1961, Shimen commune was established. In 1984, it was changed to Shimen township. As of June 2020, Shimen township has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Shimen village. Shimen township is the planting site of Tang jujube, a national geographical indication product in China.
In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Shimen township was 70.7484 million yuan, and the total industrial output value was 30.4752 million yuan. The fiscal revenue is 4.98 million yuan.
