Suncun Township, subordinate to Qingyuan District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located 12.2 kilometers north of Qingyuan District, the core area of Baiyangdian science and Technology City, bordering Wangting town in the East, Heqiao Township and Shiqiao Township in the south, Jiaozhuang Township and dongjinzhuang township of Lianchi District in the west, Yanzhuang Township and zangcun town in the north. The largest distance from the jurisdiction is 5.6 km, the largest South and north is 6.6 km away, the total area is 22 square kilometers, and the total registered residence population is 19615 (2018).

Sun Village Township, because the township government is located in South Sun Village and named. In 1961, sun village commune was established. In May 1984, it was rebuilt into Suncun township. In January 1996, Suncun township was merged into Dayang township. In December 1998, Dayang township was abolished, and the original villages under the jurisdiction of Dayang Township were transferred to dongjinzhuang township of Lianchi District, and the system of Suncun township was restored. As of October 2019, Suncun township has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages, namely Dahou village, Xiaohou village, rongguanying village, Nansun village, beisun village, xisun village and dadikou village. The Township People's government is located in Nansun village. Adjacent to Baoding high-speed railway east station, Beijing Shijiazhuang expressway, Beijing Shijiazhuang high-speed railway, Baoxin road East-West across the whole territory.

Historical evolution

In 1958, Dahou village, Xiaohou village and rongguanying village belonged to Zang village commune, and the other nine villages belonged to Dayang commune.

In 1961, sun village commune was established.

In May 1984, it was rebuilt into Suncun township.

In January 1996, Suncun township was merged into Dayang township.

In December 1998, Dayang township was abolished, and the original villages under the jurisdiction of Dayang Township were transferred to dongjinzhuang township of Lianchi District, and the system of Suncun township was restored.
