History of construction
Before the founding of new China, it was under the jurisdiction of yaman township.
In 1950, yaman, Shengli and Renmin townships were merged into Baizhuang township.
In 1958, it merged with Qingshui and Daowei to form Dongfeng commune.
In 1961, Baizhuang commune was established.
In 1984, it was re established as a township.
In 2007, it was changed to Baizhuang town.

Baizhuang town is located in the south of the Yellow River Valley, the terrain is high in the South and low in the north, with an altitude of 2120-4010 meters, with a height difference of 1890 meters. There are three landforms: Valley terrace (qitaigou, xichanggou, commonly known as chuanshuidi), low mountains and hills (commonly known as shallow mountains) and mid high mountains (commonly known as naoshan).
