Dahe Town

Dahe Town is located in the east of Nanjiang County, 58 kilometers away from the county, adjacent to Chenhe township of Tongjiang County in the East, Pinggang Township in the south, Guanmen Township in the West and Xingma Township in the north.

The town covers an area of 114.68 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages, 3 communities and 106 villager groups. The total population is 21528 (2017). The area of cultivated land is 19000 mu, the forest coverage rate is 65%, the average altitude is 800-1100 meters, the annual average temperature is 14 ℃, the annual average rainfall is 1350 mm, and the climate changes in four seasons are obvious.

On December 23, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Bazhong City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Bazhou District and other three counties (districts) (cfzm [2019] No. 23): Beiji township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Dahe Town, and the people's government of Dahe Town was stationed at No. 9 Xiangyang Road.

Dahe Town is located in the southeast of Nanjiang County, 58 kilometers away from the county, with an altitude of 548 meters. It connects Chenhe township of Tongjiang County in the East, Guanmen Township in the west, Shitan Township in the South and Xingma Township in the north. It is a typical mountainous and valley area, covering an area of 114.68 square kilometers. It governs 20 administrative villages, 3 communities and 106 villager groups, with a total population of 21528 (2017). It covers an area of 21800 mu of arable land, with an altitude of 600-1536 meters. The average temperature is 16.3 degrees, the highest temperature in history is 40.2 degrees, and the lowest temperature is 10 degrees below zero The annual average relative humidity is 69%, the average frost free period is 285 days, the total sunshine is 1620 hours, and the annual average rainfall is 1170 mm. The main natural disasters are drought, wind, hail and flood, and crop diseases and insect pests occur frequently. Dahe has superior natural conditions, better protection of forest vegetation, beautiful mountains and rivers, beautiful environment, outstanding people, rich products and unique green resources. It is known as the hometown of Huangyang and Yinhua in Nanjiang.

Historical evolution

Dahe was named "qinglinzui" before the Qing Dynasty. The prince of Qing Dynasty led the army to chase down the peasant uprising army, and Zhang Xianzhong's Department changed its name to Dahekou, which is still in use today. Dahe township was established in 1913 (the second year of the Republic of China). In 1936, the joint insurance system was implemented, and Dahe joint insurance had jurisdiction over eight insurances. In 1940, the joint insurance system was changed to Township, and the Township Office was located in Wenchang palace. After liberation, Dahe Township Liberation Committee was established in the winter of 1949. In the spring of 1952, after the completion of the land reform, the Township People's government was established, with 11 brigades under its jurisdiction. In September 1958, the township was abolished and the people's commune was established. In 1983, the people's commune was withdrawn and the name of the township was restored. In 1990, Dahe township was renamed Dahe Town. In April 2005, the Township Institutional Reform merged Baiyuan Township and Dahe Town into Dahe Town, which has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages and three communities. Due to its special geographical location, Dahe has become the economic and cultural center of six or seven surrounding towns. Its traditional culture has always been relatively prosperous. Folk art activities such as beating drums and playing Dragon lanterns have a history of more than 100 years. In beating drums, artists sit around the table, accompanied by gongs and drums, erhu, Banhu and suona, and sing Sichuan Opera without making up or going to the stage. Dragon lantern is a kind of traditional folk entertainment activities, with a special lantern organization, and select the leader, responsible for the work of the lantern. The dragon lantern is divided into colorful dragon and fire dragon. The dragon's head and tail are colored. The dragon's body is tied with red cloth and bamboo cage. When dancing, yellow smoke is burned to help dance. Follow the laughing monk to tease the lion. The color dragon started during the Spring Festival and didn't turn down the lights until the 15th of the first month. Every time I go to the street, I usually go to the countryside. Dahe Town has one middle school, two complete primary schools, 20 village primary schools, 12 private primary schools, more than 10 kindergartens, 2160 junior and senior high school students, 3380 primary school students, 268 primary and secondary school staff (including private school teachers). Infrastructure construction is driven by the city's big transportation strategy. The town's rural roads are open to traffic for 540 kilometers, and five villages, including sunjiashan, Guanyinsi, dayingba, lianhuashi and donghuashan, are connected with cement roads. In 2012, the Party committee and government fully mobilized the masses to raise funds and materials to build roads. Green economy development. The advantage of animal husbandry characteristic industry based on Nanjiang Yellow sheep is obvious.
