Shuhong town is located in the middle of Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province, 28 ° 38 ′ n, 120 ° 08 ′ e, 9 km away from the county. The town is named after the resident village. It is dominated by hills with valley plain between them and low mountains in some parts. The terrain is high in the northeast and low in the southwest, with the highest altitude (Baishui mountain) of 1083 meters.

The annual average temperature is 18 ℃, the frost free period is 265 days, and the annual average precipitation is 1500 mm. In 2003, the absolute maximum temperature was 43 ℃ and the daily maximum temperature was more than or equal to 36 ℃ for 60 days.
Hydrology:
In the east of the town, Zhenxi flows from the water of Yuewang mountain, and in the southeast, Zhenxi flows from the source of Gufang mountain. Entering Haoxi, it belongs to Oujiang River system. Shanao reservoirs are all over the country, and the water conservancy conditions are better.
Natural resources:
The land types of Shuhong town are relatively complete, with many gentle slopes and sufficient light. It is suitable to plant grain in plain area between hills, and garden economy should be developed in hilly area. The proportion of main land types in the total area: cultivated land 6.1%, forest land 76.1%, water area 2.1%. The vegetation mainly includes pine, fir, bamboo and tea, and also cultivates orange, plum and chestnut. Evolution of organizational system
Before the establishment of Jinyun County, it was one of the Guanzheng townships (including Dayang District, suburban district and Panxi District in the 1970s) in the Tang and Qing Dynasties, which was called Nanxiang. In the early days of the people's Republic of China, it was divided into kunkeng and Shuhong townships. In 1956, the two townships merged into kunhong township. In 1958, it was the kunhong management area, belonging to Panxi commune. In 1966, the Cultural Revolution began to change its name to "red flag" commune. In 1979, Wang moved to No. 4 Zhenxing East Road, Shuhong. It was renamed Shuhong commune in 1981. In 1984, Shuhong township was established. In August 1985, the provincial government approved it as an established town. In May 1992, the district was withdrawn to expand the town, and the town government was moved to the former Panxi District Office and set up a new office. It has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages, 171 villager groups and 1 neighborhood committee (Preparatory). Population 17766, including 976 non-agricultural population. In ancient times, Shuhong township was one of the five townships in Jinyun County. In August 1985, the provincial government approved Shuhong township as an established town. In May 1992, the district was removed to expand the town and the township was merged. The division of Shuhong town remained unchanged, and the town government moved to the original Panxi district office. Since then, there has been no change in the division system of Shuhong town.
