Jiuxian town is located in the north of Taihe County, close to the county to the south, and the town government is 6 km away from the county. It is located at 115 ° 14 ′ 21 ″ e to 115 ° 19 ′ 06 ″ and 33 ° 11 ′ 20 ″ n to 33 ° 17 ′ 27 ″. It is adjacent to Guanji town in the East, Shuangfu town in the north, Guomiao Township in the northeast, Gaomiao town and Shuizhen town in the west, Chengguan town in the south, and Daxin Town in the southwest.

Jiuxian town is the transportation hub of Taihe County and the important transportation town in Northwest Anhui Province. There are five advantages: first, national highway 105 and provincial highway 308 meet at sanjiaoyuan, Fuyang in the south, Bozhou in the north, Mengcheng and Bengbu in the East, and Henan jingnei in the West. Secondly, Jie Fu Beng expressway runs across the whole country, connecting HeXu expressway in the East and Beijing Zhuhai Expressway in the West. The only exit of Jie Fu Beng Expressway in Taihe is only 500 meters away from sanjiaoyuan. Thirdly, Luofu railway runs across the territory, and there are two passenger and freight transport stations in Jiuxian. Human history

Old towns have a long history. The origin of the name of "old county" can be traced back to more than a thousand years ago. As early as in Xuanhe year of Northern Song Dynasty, Wanshou county was moved from the original wall to the old county and renamed "Taihe". It was put into Yingzhou in the early Yuan Dynasty. In the new year of Dade, the county was restored and changed from "Tai" to "Tai". The county was moved to the current site, and the old county got its name. in ancient times, the market of Jiuxian county was prosperous, and merchants from more than 10 provinces such as Shaanxi, Shanxi, Shandong and Henan gathered here. In the 16th year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong, it was recorded in the county annals that "there were few native people in old counties and towns, but there were many people in Huizhou, Sichuan, mountain and Shaanxi, and Taihe was the first town.". Shanxi people have built Shanxi chamber of Commerce hall here, and Islam has built mosque, which is still in good condition. Many foreign businessmen settled down here and multiplied their descendants. It became the political, economic and cultural center of the people of the old county.

Natural conditions

Jiuxian town is located in the transition zone from warm temperate zone to subtropical zone, which belongs to warm temperate semi humid monsoon climate. Jiuxian town is characterized by mild climate, four distinct seasons, sufficient light, obvious monsoon and moderate rainfall. The dominant wind directions are Dongfeng and dongnanfeng. The terrain of Jiuxian town is high in the West and low in the East, and the ground elevation is generally between 31.5 and 35.0 meters. The main water systems are Yinghe River, Guhe River, langcaogou River, futiaogou River, hongsigou River and Songgou river. The agricultural climate is on the boundary between the north subtropical zone and the warm temperate zone.

Among them, Toona sinensis bud is a famous specialty of Taihe, with 9 varieties, most of which are concentrated in Jiuxian county. In recent years, the whole town has devoted itself to the construction of agricultural infrastructure, built 38000 mu of drought and flood land, and formed four production bases of Toona sinensis, vegetables, peppermint and flowers; cattle improvement, Boer goat breeding, poultry and other breeding industries have developed rapidly. In September 2004, the 300 hectare agricultural product base of Zhanghuai governance area in Jiuxian County passed the acceptance of the Provincial Agricultural Committee and was recognized as a pollution-free agricultural product production base.

Jiuxian town was established as one of the 20 demonstration towns in Fuyang City in 1995. In 1998, it was listed as one of the 100 demonstration towns in the whole province, and in 1999, it was established as 195 central towns in the whole province, and was included in the urban construction planning of the county. Since 2003, the county Party committee and the county government have decided to build Taihe Industrial Park in the old town, which has injected new vitality into the economic and social development of the old town. The planning area of the park is 9.7 square kilometers, and 1.5 square kilometers have been built. Two enterprises have been built and put into operation in the park, and three enterprises are under construction. In addition, Taiji group, Jilin Huifa, lvzhiqiao Food Co., Ltd. and other enterprises have formally signed agreements to enter the park, and five other enterprises have reached investment intentions.

Forestry production

Since the reform and opening up, the old counties and towns have paid special attention to the development of forestry production, focusing on the implementation of afforestation projects such as afforestation on the four sides, afforestation on wasteland, green corridor of ten thousand li, and returning farmland to forest, which has made great progress in forestry production. At present, the forest coverage rate of the whole town has reached about 23%, and the existing forest area is 25000 mu. The timber volume of the town is about 80000 cubic meters.
