History of construction
In the sixth year of Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty (525), Linhuan county was set up to govern the city, which belongs to Linhuan county. In the fifth year of Wuding in the Eastern Wei Dynasty (547), Linhuan county was divided into Baishan county and Huanbei county. Baishan county is located in the south of Baishan county. In 605, Baishan county was merged into Linhuan county. In the same year, Tongji canal, the first phase of the Grand Canal of Sui and Tang Dynasties, was excavated. After the establishment of Liuzi town (now Baishan town). In the second year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty (910), Baishan was established. after the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Baishan established a township under the jurisdiction of Suxian County, one of the 12 townships in three towns of Suxian county. In 1930, Baishan township was transformed into the third district of Suxian county. In 1938, Baishan was occupied, and the third puppet District, Baishan District, was set up. In June 1939, the Communist Party of China established the Anti Japanese democratic regime in Suxi County, which set up Liuzi district. In February 1992, the original eight townships were merged into two towns, Baishan and Xulou. In 2000, Baishan town was promoted to be a key provincial center town at the deputy county level. On February 8, 2006, Baishan and Xulou towns were merged into Baishan Town, which governs 43 administrative villages. In March 2007, the administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Baishan town were merged from 43 to 23. In 2013, zhaiqiao natural village of Lizhuang administrative village and Xulou administrative village was under the jurisdiction of suiwu Industrial Park.
