Xiji Town, located in the southwest of Shanting District, Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, is adjacent to Fucheng town in the East, zouwu town in Xuecheng District in the south, Yangzhuang town in Tengzhou City in the West and Shancheng street in the north. The administrative area is 66.07 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of Xiji town registered residence was 34544.
In 1983, Qicun district was abolished and changed to Shanting District. In 1984, it was changed into Xiji town. In March 2001, Zhangzhuang and dongfushan were merged. In April 2004, Zhangzhuang and dongfushan separated out. As of June 2020, Xiji town has 15 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Xiji town was 303.65 million yuan, an increase of 25% over the previous year. Among them, local fiscal revenue was 20.494 million yuan, an increase of 43% over the previous year. From the perspective of major taxes, business tax was 6.341 million yuan, value-added tax was 1.234 million yuan, and enterprise income tax was 2.01 million yuan. The per capita fiscal revenue was 6600 yuan, an increase of 43% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 68 industrial enterprises in Xiji Town, including 12 above scale enterprises and 68 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Before 1944, it belonged to she county.
After the autumn of 1944, it was subordinate to Shuangshan county and Lushui county.
In 1950, it belonged to Baiyan County, the third district.
In 1953, Baiyan county was withdrawn and returned to Yi County, which was designated as the 20th district.
In 1958, Xiji, Fuzhuang, Zhangzhuang and dongfushan merged to form Xiji commune.
In 1962, it was assigned to Qicun District, and in the same year, it was divided into Fuzhuang, Zhangzhuang and dongfushan to build Xiji commune.
In 1983, Qicun district was abolished and changed to Shanting District.
In 1984, it was changed into Xiji town.
In March 2001, Zhangzhuang and dongfushan were merged.

Xiji town is located in the southern marginal mountainous area of Shanting District, with 52 mountain tops. The whole terrain is different, high in the East and low in the West. It is divided into two geomorphic units: low land and hills in the southeast, mountain and piedmont inclined flat ground in the northwest, volcanoes bordering Fucheng town in the north, with an altitude of 375.5 meters, and Nanzhuang Village in the west, with an altitude of 77.6 meters.

The rivers in Xiji town belong to the cross river system. The Julong river flows from the east of donghecha village to the north of the village and flows through the whole town from east to west to the west of zhutun village. The river is 8 km long. It converges with Xue River to Nansi Lake.

The main mineral resources in Xiji town are limestone and dolomite. Among them, limestone is mainly distributed in lushankou, Henan, Dongji, Jianxin, Changshan and other villages, with total reserves of 150 million cubic meters, grade of 50% and annual mining volume of 880000 cubic meters.
