History of construction
In 1949, it belonged to the first district of Kelei county.
In October 1952, Tuoli county was established, belonging to the first district of Tuoli county.
In September 1958, Dongfeng commune was established with six production teams under its jurisdiction.
In December 1978, it was renamed dorat commune.
In February 1984, the commune was changed into a township.
