Kuokesu Township
Kuokesu Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Tekes County, Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Tekes County, with a total administrative area of 13.16 square kilometers, including Tekes junmachang in the East, 78th regiment in the south, Tekes town in the West and hujiert Mongolian Township in the north.
In July 1976, the first commune of red flag was set up from Chengguan commune; in 1984, it was changed to kuokesu township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Kuksu township was 2899. In June 2020, kuokesu township has jurisdiction over three administrative villages.
The main crops in kuokesu township are wheat, rape, sugar beet and oil sunflower; the main animal husbandry is cattle and sheep. In 2018, there were two industrial enterprises in kuokesu Township, including two above scale enterprises.
History of construction
In July 1976, the first red flag commune was set up from Chengguan commune.
In 1978, it was renamed Koksu commune.
