Yuqun Weng Hui Township belongs to Yining County, Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is located in the southeast of Yining County, adjacent to wenyar Township in the East, Duolang farm, arewusitang Township and 70th regiment farm of the fourth agricultural division in the south, hudiya Yuzi Township in the west, Sadik Yuzi Township, quluhai Township and youth farm in the north, with a total administrative area of 152.2 square kilometers.
In 1954, Yuqun Weng Hui Autonomous Region was established; in 1984, Yuqun Weng Hui Township was established. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of the Hui group was 52992. In 2019, Yuqun Weng Hui village governs 16 administrative villages.

History of construction
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, there were 100 or 50 heads of households in 12 natural villages, which was one of the most concentrated areas in Yili.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of three, four and five districts.
In 1954, maimaiya Yuzi Township, which is under the jurisdiction of the three districts, slamuyuzi, tuohuqiyuzi and arebozi Township, which are under the jurisdiction of the four districts, and arewusitang village, which is under the jurisdiction of the local Yuzi Township, were merged into abulashi Township, which is under the jurisdiction of the five districts.
In 1958, May 1 commune was established.
In 1978, it was renamed Yu Qun Weng commune.
