Jigen Township
Jigen Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Wuqia County, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located at the westernmost end of Wuqia county. It is connected with wulukqiati Township in the East, wuheshalu Township in the South and Kyrgyz state in the West and North, with an administrative area of 1452 square meters.

History of construction
Jigen Township originally belonged to Shufu county.
In the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), it was assigned to wulukqiati and set up a governing Bureau, which was subordinate to the third district.
In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), Wuqia town for the fourth protection.
In 1950, it was the fourth Township in the second district.
In 1958, it was the fourth brigade of urumqiati commune.
In 1962, Jigen commune was established.
In 1968, it was renamed the anti revisionist commune.
In 1980, the original name of Keegan commune was restored.
