Zhengxing Township

Zhengxing Township, Jiange County, is located in the southwest of Jiange County, 49 kilometers away from Pu'an Town, the old county seat. Jianyan road passes through. Zhengxing township was set up in 1952, the commune was changed in 1958, and the township was restored in 1984. The township covers an area of 48.65 square kilometers, governs 9 villages and 40 groups, with a total population of 4268 (2017).

Zhengxing township is located in the southwest of the county, 49 kilometers away from Pu'an Town, the old county town of Jiange. The road from Jiange to Yanting passes through. It is about 6 kilometers long from east to west and 8 kilometers long from north to south, covering an area of 48.65 square kilometers.

It now has 9 village committees and 40 villager groups, including Xinghuo, Jinding, Hexi, Sanyuan, Konglong, Chongling, Guogou, Huashan and Longhu, with a population of 4268 (2017). Agricultural production of rice, corn, wheat, rapeseed, cotton, and raise pigs.

Evolution of organizational system

Founded in 1950, Zhengxing people's commune was established by the merger of Zhengxing Township and Madeng township.

It was under the jurisdiction of Kaifeng in 1955 and Wulian in 1958. In 1984, the people's commune system was abolished, the township system was restored, and the people's government was established.

In 1992, Zhengxing township was merged with Wulian town and set up an office. In 1995, it was restored to Zhengxing township.

economic construction

The township mainly takes agriculture as the leading industry, and the main economic crops are flue-cured tobacco, rape, peanut, etc. Breeding is also a major part of agriculture. Poultry are mainly chickens, ducks and geese.

In addition, we began to introduce "landrace pig", "Nanjiang Yellow sheep" and Angora rabbit in recent years. Large quantities of Landrace pigs were raised in the form of "company + farmers", which brought higher economic benefits for the township.
