Laotai Township
Laotai Township, belonging to jimusar County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of jimusar county. It is connected with Santai town in the East, Urumqi city and Urumqi county in the south, Ziniquanzi town in Fukang City in the west, and Gurbantonggut desert in the north. The area is 652.72 square kilometers. In 2018, 9854 people registered residence.
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Santai Town, Fuyuan County. In 1950, it belonged to three districts. In 1954, Fuyuan County was renamed Jimusaer County, which still belonged to three districts. In 1958, he became the happy brigade of Santai commune. In 1981, it was renamed Laotai brigade. In 1984, it separated from Santai town and set up Laotai township. In October 2019, Laotai countryside governs five administrative villages.
