Chishuiyuan town is located in the northwest of Zhenxiong County, Zhaotong City, 10 kilometers away from Zhenxiong County. The road to the town is asphalt road, with convenient transportation. It is adjacent to Guozhu Township in the East, Wude town in the West and Mangbu town in the north.

Chishuiyuan town governs Banqiao and other 10 administrative villages.
