History of construction

At the beginning of the people's Republic of China, Lucaogou was divided into Lucaogou Township and shirenzigou Township, belonging to the first district of Dihua (Eastern District).

In May 1958, it was transferred to Miquan county and became the second brigade of Dongfeng commune.

In November 1960, it returned to Urumqi county as Lucaogou commune.

In 1984, Lucaogou township was established, with jurisdiction over Renmin Zhuangzi, Lucaogou, laobagou, shirenzigou and gejiagou.
