Qiying town
Qiying town is located in the southeast of Haiyuan County, 65 kilometers away from the city. Gancheng in the East, liwang in the north, Heicheng in the South and Zhengqi Township in the West. Yinping highway, Fuyin Expressway and Baozhong railway pass through the territory with convenient transportation.
The town has 14 administrative villages and 92 natural villages, with a total population of 23752 (2017).

Water resources
Water resources are poor. Drinking water for people and livestock depends on transporting Yellow River drainage and storing rainwater in cellars. Irrigation is guaranteed by Yellow River project. There are 5117 water cellars in the town.
economic development
The town's economy is dominated by agriculture. Through years of structural adjustment of planting industry, the town's economic and industrial belt with corn, sunflower and wolfberry as the main products has been built. In 2007, the total social output value was 110 million yuan, the total grain output was 7.7 million kg, the grain per capita was 279 kg, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2610 yuan.
Education status
There are 24 schools at all levels, including 1 middle school, 14 primary schools, 9 teaching sites, 106 teaching classes, 175 full-time primary school teachers (11 special posts) and 4201 students; 49 full-time middle school teachers, 23 teaching classes and 848 students.

Through years of structural adjustment of planting industry, the town's economic and industrial belt mainly composed of corn, sunflower and medlar has been initially built. Medlar covers an area of 28000 mu. In 2008, it planted 37043 mu of sunflower, 16893 mu of corn, 5830 mu of potatoes, 4123 mu of wheat, 6343 mu of oil crops, 1835 mu of peas and 1300 mu of melons and vegetables. The breeding industry is mainly cattle, sheep and pigs. Two beef cattle breeding demonstration villages, Malian and mabao, are gradually cultivated and built, with 883 sheds, 406 silage ponds, 2484 cattle, 20817 basic ewes, 5640 pigs and 141980 chickens.
