Xinzhai street is a street in Yushu City, Qinghai Province. It was established in May 2014 (YZH [2014] No.1).

Evolution of organizational system

Jiegu city was established in 1951, the first Xiaoge (District) in 1952, Jiegu town in 1956, Hongqi commune in 1958, Jiegu Township in 1963, Jiegu town in 1965, Jiegu commune in 1972 and Jiegu town in 1984. in 2013, the provincial government (qingzhenghan [2013] No. 146) approved the cancellation of Jiegu town. In 2014, Jiegu street, Xihang street, zhaxike street and Xinzhai Street (yuzhenghan [2014] No. 1) were established.

Xinzhai sub district office is located in the east of Yushu City, with the boundary of Tongtianhe in the East, Tibet Hospital of Yuanzhou epidemic prevention station in the west, contemporary Shangen in the South and beishangen in the north. It is the east gate and important traffic artery of Yushu city.

The permanent resident population is 4767 households with more than 20000 people. The Tibetan population accounts for 20272 people, accounting for 96.3% of the total population. There are 281 party members and two monasteries: dangka temple and dangka nunnery temple, with a total of 503 monks and nuns.
