Nanmenxia Town, belonging to Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the northwest of Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, adjacent to Linchuan Township in the East, Taizi Township in the south, Datong County in the west, Daban mountain in the north, Qilian Mountain Branch, 15 kilometers away from Huzhu County, with a total area of 224.47 square meters.
From the Western Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Nanmenxia town belonged to Anyi, Xidu, Shancheng, Datong and other counties. On March 19, 2001, Nanmenxia town was replaced by township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in south gate town was 19573. In 2019, Nanmenxia town governs one community and 14 administrative villages, and the people's government is located in shiziji town.
The main food crops in Nanmenxia town are wheat and highland barley; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry. In 2018, Nanmenxia town had 3 industrial enterprises and 7 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
From the Western Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Anyi, Xidu, Shancheng, Datong and other counties.
In 1930, it belonged to Longwang township of Datong County.
In 1954, it was assigned to Huzhu county.
In 1958, it was merged with Fengren Township into kezangsi Township, and later merged into Wufeng commune.
In 1959, Nanmenxia commune was established.
In 1983, Nanmenxia township was established.
On March 19, 2001, Nanmenxia town was replaced by township.
