Yangsha town
Yangsha Town, belonging to Lintan County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the Northeast valley of Lintan County, adjacent to Taohe, Kangle, Zhuoni and Weiyuan counties in the East, Shimen Township in the south, qiagai Township in Zhuoni County in the West and Yeliguan town in the north. The area is 224.59 square kilometers. In 2018, 6300 people registered residence.
In 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Lianfeng township. After October 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of the fourth district (Yeliguan District) and the Fifth District (Yangsha District) of Lintan county. In 1953, Gangou Township and anmen Township were established. In 1958, after the merger of Lin and Zhuo counties, they were assigned to Beishan commune. In 1962, after the separation of Lin and Zhuo counties, Yangsha commune was established. In 1984, it was changed to Yangsha township. In 2018, villages will be removed to build towns. In June 2020, six administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of Yangsha town.

Yangsha town is located in the northeast edge of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The terrain is divided into high mountains, valleys and hills. The main mountain ranges are Daling mountain, changlingpo, anmen mountain, and the back slope. The highest peak is at changlingpo, with an altitude of 2800 meters; the lowest point is at Xiaxia, with an altitude of 2200 meters.
