Xianlong town is under the jurisdiction of Liangdang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province,

History of construction

After 1949, it was Xianlong Township, the Fourth District of Liangdang county.

In 1958, the three counties merged and were under the jurisdiction of Yongning commune of Huicheng county.

In January 1962, Xianlong commune was established after the three counties were divided.

In 1968, it was renamed Red Star commune.

In October 1970, the original name was restored.

In December 1983, it was changed to Xianlong township.

In 2016, the township was replaced by Xianlong town.

administrative division

As of June 2020, Xianlong town has 10 administrative villages: Nie Gou Village, Xianlong village, liangya village, Chuantou village, Laozhuang village, Wangbao village, Yelin village, Bandeng village, Baiya village and Yutan village. The people's government is located in liangdangji group of Xianlong village, 18 kilometers away from the county.

Xianlong town is located in the southwest of Liangdang County, adjacent to Yuchi town in the East, Jialing town in Hui County in the south, zhanerxiang town in the southwest, Yongning Town in Hui County in the West and Yuchi town in the northeast. The maximum distance from east to west is 6 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 20 kilometers. The total administrative area is 43.47 square kilometers.

topographic features

Xianlong town is located in the edge of Huicheng basin. It is a hilly area, high in the middle and low at both ends. The highest point is located in Xianlong mountain of Xianlong village, with an altitude of 1310 meters; the lowest point is located in Zhongba formation of Nie Gou Village, with an altitude of 773 meters.

Xianlong town has a warm temperate continental monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 11.7 ℃, an average annual precipitation of 680 mm and an average annual frost free period of 190 days.

hydrology

The river in Xianlong town belongs to the Jialing River system. There is a first-class River, Jialing River, flowing in from the southeast, flowing out from the southwest through the middle dam formation of Nie Gou Village, with a total length of 2 km; there is a second-class River, Yongning River, with a total length of 3 km. The two rivers meet in the Zhongba formation of Nie Gou Village.

At the end of 2011, Xianlong town had a total population of 4020, including 183 urban permanent residents and 190 floating population. Among the total population, there are 2212 males, accounting for 55%; 1808 females, accounting for 45%; 527 persons under 14 years old, accounting for 14%; 2914 persons between 15 and 64 years old, accounting for 72%; 579 persons over 65 years old, accounting for 14%. In the total population, the Han nationality is the main, accounting for 3590 people, accounting for 89.1%; there is a Hui ethnic minority, a total of 430 people, accounting for 10.9%. The birth rate is 6.1 ‰, the death rate is 6.9 ‰, and the natural growth rate is - 0.8 ‰.

By the end of 2018, the population of Hsien lung town was 3950 registered residence.
