geographical position
The name of yangfangkou comes from "Yangjiajiang's garrison gate". I don't know when and who turned yangfangkou into a mediocre yangfangkou. Yangfangkou is located 13 kilometers northeast of Ningwu County, with an altitude of 1260 meters. It is the lowest altitude area in the county. It is located in the upper reaches of Sanggan River, which is called jiulongkou, jiuniukou, yangfangbao (yangfangbao) and yangfangkou fort in history. It is connected with Jinshan Beach on the edge of Datong Basin in the north, Yunzhong mountain in the south, East and West, Chanfang mountain and Guanzi mountain. It is a throat pass. Its military geographical strategic position is very important. It is the only shuizaoguan pass in China. According to the records of Ningwu Prefecture City chapter: "yangfangbao, built by Chen Shuo, the governor of Jiajing in the 18th year of Ming Dynasty, is the first entrance of the middle road. The terrain is flat, and one hundred thousand riders can enter into a line." "Yangfangbao was originally built in 1539 A.D. in the 18th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty, and was renovated in the 4th year of Wanli (1576 A.D.). The castle was expanded to more than two Li. Near Xigoukou, kushenao is the barrier of yangfangbao. This is not only the main point of Ningwu, but also the shield of Yanmen and Pianguan. Once something happens in Datong, heavy troops are often stationed here. In this way, Yanmen can be defended in the East, Pianguan can be aided in the west, Laoying can be supported in the north, and Datong and Shuo counties can be supported in the north. Until the 1980s, the PLA also built a large number of military fortifications here. This is the transportation hub leading to northwest Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Datong and Taiyuan. It has been an important channel of the country since ancient times. At present, there are three railways of Beitongpu, Shuohuang and Ningqi, and three trunk highways of Xinzhou Baode, TingYang Shuiquan and yangfangkou Pinglu. Sanguanzhi called it "the most important place in northern Shanxi." According to the records of Ningwu Prefecture published by Emperor Qianlong, Weng Wanda, the governor's minister, wrote in the picture of the middle road of the three passes that " Yangfangkou is especially difficult to get to Shuozhou Dachuan, so the capital, Chen shuoyun, has the danger of Yanmen Gouwa in the East and the fortress of laoyinghai in the West. Ergouyu is separated from the Yellow River, so it is inconvenient for the enemy to go on a large scale. The yangfangkou of Ningwu is 80 Li long from east to west, and it is easy to advance with 100000 people. This is the place where the enemy must fight and the balance of the three main culprits Therefore, those who guard Datong will guard Shanxi, those who guard the middle road will guard Liangguan, and those who guard yangfangkou will guard the whole road. "
Historical evolution
In the early Wuding period of the Eastern Wei Dynasty (543-550 AD), Xincheng County was located 47 Li southwest of Shuozhou, which is now yangfangkou. In 555 ad, Shuozhou was moved to Xincheng County, 47 Li south of the state. Yangfangkou used to be the county seat of Xincheng County and the city of Shuozhou in history. In the Ming Dynasty, Ma Yisuo village, which is now under the jurisdiction of Ma Yisuo village, was an administrative organization integrating military and political affairs, equivalent to the county level. In 1965, it was changed into mining town with the approval of Shanxi Provincial People's government. There are a lot of coal resources in the 30 natural villages under the jurisdiction of the town. Yangfangkou coal mine, a municipal enterprise with a long history, plays an important role in Xinzhou's economy. In 1964, it belonged to the mining area commune, and in 1984, it was set up in yangfangkou town.
places of historic figures and cultural heritage
The famous Great Wall stretches for 30 Li in its territory. There are more than 1000 meters of brick and stone walls in Ming Dynasty, with an average height of 8-10 meters and a width of about 5 meters. In the oil depot protection area of yangfangkou oil company, there are two complete enemy towers (enemy towers) on the Great Wall. The buildings are made of bricks and stones, facing south and North. The interior is hollow and has an ambulatory. There are dozens of soldiers stationed in the middle and more than ten stone arrow windows on three sides. When the enemy invades, the garrison can hide in them and use the skylight to shoot arrows. The front of the two enemy towers are equipped with ticket doors, and the lintel is decorated with brick arches, and the two sides are engraved with hanging flowers. According to the inscription of the Ming Dynasty, Ningwu is actually the gateway of the three Jin Dynasties, and the area around yangfangkou is also the gateway of Ningwu. Its terrain is flat and can be destroyed by troops for several miles. As the soldiers prepared for the war, they probably had the ambition to promote it, so they ordered the poison work to be carried out, and the construction of the dustpan was carried out in jiulongkou of the fort, and two enemy buildings were built. Many cultural relic experts believe that it is an important material material for the study of the defense buildings of the Great Wall in Ming Dynasty.
