Sanhe Town

Sanhe Town is subordinate to Taishan City, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the northwest of Taishan City, Guangdong Province, with a total area of 214.06 square kilometers (in 2017) and a total population of 34055 people (in 2017). It has nine village committees and one residents committee, with a total of 395 natural villages.

Historical evolution

The Ming and Qing Dynasties were the capital of virtue. In the Republic of China, it was changed into the seventh district. In 1958, it was changed into Sanhe commune. In 1983, it was changed into district. In 1987, it was removed from district and built into town. In 1996, it covers an area of 295 square kilometers and has a population of 52000. The town government is located in sanhewei, 13 kilometers away from Taicheng. It governs 22 administrative districts (administrative villages) including Xinyi, Langdong, Lidong, Donglian, Shuangtang, shuisonglang, Xiping, chongwan, Liangcun, Nadong, Nanhua, Yueling, Hengtang, Xin'an, Yongchang, Lian'an, Sangang, Liuhu, Huan'an, Yuhuan, Yuying and sanhewei.

There are 13 large and small polder towns in the town, among which sanhewei, najinwei and wenquanwei are the largest. At present, Sanhe Town People's government is located in wenquanwei development new area. It was moved in from the old town government in sanhewei in May 2004.

Located in the demonstration area, the new government administrative center has been completed, the tax, industry and commerce, water supply, power supply and other departments have been working in the demonstration area, and the hot spring tourism demonstration area has become the new administrative center of Sanhe Town. Investment projects focusing on tourism, leisure and entertainment are in full swing. The second phase of xiyunlai hot spring hotel has been completed, and the third phase is under preparation. Sanhe Town has a superior geographical location, only 7km away from Taicheng, and the spacious Taiwan Strait highway runs through the Sanhe section for 15km. By land, you can get to the national highway, Fokai expressway, Xintai Expressway and Coastal Expressway. It's 15 minutes' drive to the expressway, and only one hour's drive to Guangzhou and Zhuhai. The main roads in the town, including the Taiwan strait line, the chong'en line, the Sanna line and the South Ring Road under construction, run through it. It is only 6.5 km away from Taicheng, with convenient transportation.
